Job details
About this role
Role overview Evaluate how AI models reason about Java-based infrastructure and large-scale software systems. You’ll work through realistic architecture and operations scenarios, check proposed solutions for correctness and reliability, and document where model reasoning breaks down.
Responsibilities - Challenge models with tasks involving JVM services, distributed systems, cloud deployments, and enterprise architectures. - Review design decisions about concurrency, latency, throughput, and resource use. - Assess infrastructure and application testing approaches, including their ability to expose reliability risks. - Identify deployment concerns and record reproducible failure cases. - Write structured feedback to improve model evaluations and reasoning.
Requirements - Strong Java experience with enterprise systems or infrastructure and platform engineering. - Knowledge of systems architecture, performance engineering, quality assurance, and operational reliability. - Ability to explain system behavior and technical tradeoffs clearly in writing. - A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Benefits and work setup - Remote contract work, with a stated pay range of $80–$150 per hour; the final rate depends on experience, expertise, and location. - Contractors provide their own secure computer and high-speed internet.
