Senior Software Engineer

Role overview Build and operate platform capabilities that help engineering teams create and run data applications securely and reliably at scale. The scope includes deployment and service management, analytical data access and governance, self-service automation, observability, and incident response. The role also contributes to emerging semantic-layer and AI-enabled data tooling.

Responsibilities - Design and maintain platform features for provisioning, deployment, access control, service lifecycle management, and reliability. - Integrate the platform with delivery pipelines, identity and secrets systems, APIs, and event-driven services. - Establish secure analytical data access patterns, including role-based permissions, masking, secure views, and cross-database grants. - Turn recurring support needs—such as access requests, pipeline failures, and secrets management—into self-service tools and automation. - Build telemetry, alerts, logs, runbooks, and operational practices that help teams diagnose issues and reduce recovery time. - Participate in on-call support, incident triage, and careful maintenance of services used by other teams. - Contribute to semantic-layer infrastructure and AI-enabled data applications, and help set standards through design, code review, and incident follow-through.

Requirements - Hands-on experience operating an analytical cloud data platform, including access controls, governance, compute management, and cost optimization. - Understanding of privileged platform operations and the governance and impact of access changes. - Experience with containerized applications, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and production rollout practices. - Background building internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure with attention to the full developer experience. - Ability to build integrations and work across application teams, security, infrastructure, and platform users. - Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to scope and prioritize work when requirements are unclear. - A related bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have - Interest or experience in semantic-layer design, LLM-integrated platform workflows, or AI-enabled data tools.
