Solution Architect - AI

Role overview Lead the technical design and commercial shaping of AI and data platform engagements, helping clients move from an initial business challenge to a solution delivery teams can build. The role combines architecture, client discovery, demonstrations, and proposal work, with a focus on Databricks, generative and agentic AI, and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities - Design and document end-to-end AI solutions using Databricks, Azure AI services, LLMs, and related technologies. - Translate business needs and technical constraints into implementable architecture, applying established patterns and standards. - Identify technical risks early, record them, and guide mitigation through resolution. - Lead discovery workshops to understand current systems, workloads, governance, requirements, and desired outcomes. - Shape scalable, supportable, and cost-aware solutions with subject matter experts. - Develop and present architecture materials, demonstrations, proposals, and technical responses for client opportunities.

Requirements - Strong solution architecture experience across AI, data platforms, and analytics. - Ability to explain technical designs clearly to both delivery teams and senior decision-makers. - Skill in client discovery and turning business goals into practical technical approaches. - Familiarity with Databricks, Azure AI services, LLMs, and Lakehouse architectures. - Sound judgment in assessing technical risks, scalability, supportability, and cost.

Benefits and work setup The position is remote for candidates based in the UK, with occasional customer and team visits. The stated salary range is £80,000–£110,000, depending on experience.
