Developer Community Lead (6 Month Contract)

Role overview

Help shape how a developer ecosystem grows around an AI platform focused on continual adaptation. This six-month engagement centers on standing up and energizing community spaces for technical builders, researchers, and early adopters. The work blends community strategy, event programming, and operational systems-building for a distributed, globally oriented team.

Responsibilities

- Set the overall direction for supporting developers, researchers, and enterprise builders exploring adaptive AI tooling - Establish and run community channels (Discord, forums) end-to-end, moderating conversations and routing feedback into actionable engineering issues - Recruit, onboard, and manage an ambassador program with resources and recognition for representatives in their own regions - Plan and host meetups, hackathons, office hours, and live streams aimed at new technical audiences - Partner with developer groups, universities, accelerators, and open-source communities to co-organize and amplify events - Spotlight user projects through writeups, case studies, and guest talks - Build automations and repeatable processes that let community operations scale without losing the human touch - Track who's building what and foster connections between members, technical teams, and marketing partners

Requirements

- 2-3 years in a community lead role with a track record of engaging technical audiences - Experience building scalable operations processes from scratch and driving cross-functional projects to completion - Strong written communication and demonstrated engagement with developer communities on platforms like Discord and X - End-to-end experience organizing developer events, from local meetups to larger hackathons - Genuine empathy for developers, curiosity about their projects, and energy in social, people-facing situations
