Solutions Engineer

Role overview A pre-sales solutions engineering role supporting a unified cyber protection platform that combines backup, disaster recovery, storage, anti-malware, and security operations for managed service providers and enterprise customers. The position partners closely with sales and channel teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions across the full sales cycle, with the goal of helping a growing portfolio of clients adopt an integrated cybersecurity and data protection stack.

Responsibilities - Collaborate with account executives and channel partners to position solutions, run product demonstrations, and lead technical evaluations including proof-of-concept engagements. - Translate business and technical requirements from service providers, partners, and end customers into cost-effective solution designs. - Provide hands-on troubleshooting during pre-sales to secure technical wins, and assist with integrating third-party RMM platforms with the core platform. - Develop responses to RFIs and RFPs, and prepare presentations that articulate both technical and business value. - Manage strategic accounts jointly with account managers, contributing to account strategy and growth plans. - Relay recurring customer and market feedback to product management, engineering, and other internal teams to inform roadmap decisions.

Requirements - 4-5 years of experience in a relevant pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical account role. - Hands-on familiarity with cloud productivity suites such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, plus backup, disaster recovery, and storage solution design. - Working knowledge of cybersecurity domains including antivirus or ransomware protection, EDR/MDR/XDR, email security, and network security. - Comfort with Microsoft operating systems; Linux or other OS experience is a plus. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate around technical issues with varied audiences. - Fluent English and willingness to travel, including internationally.

Nice to have - Experience integrating with MSP RMM tooling and cross-functional coordination across support, product, and engineering teams. - A disciplined, detail-oriented approach suited to deadline-driven environments.
