Full Stack Engineer (MERN Stack)

Role overview

Deliver full-stack product features across a modern TypeScript web stack, from user-facing interfaces to backend services and database changes. The role also contributes to production delivery, including containerized deployments, CI/CD, cloud integrations, and real-time functionality where needed. It is remote-first and supports collaboration across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

- Build accessible, responsive interfaces with React and Next.js, considering rendering patterns, data fetching, and performance. - Develop REST APIs and occasional WebSocket services in NestJS, including validation, authorization, and error handling. - Design PostgreSQL schemas, manage migrations with Prisma, and improve query performance. - Support Docker and Kubernetes deployment workflows, including image setup and health checks. - Maintain build pipelines and automated checks, and help promote releases safely through staging and production. - Implement real-time features and integrate AWS services with attention to security and access controls. - Review code and document technical decisions and shared component practices.

Requirements

- Production experience with React and TypeScript, including component design, hooks, state management, accessibility, and performance. - Proficiency with Node.js and server-side JavaScript or TypeScript. - Experience building APIs and working with PostgreSQL and Prisma or comparable data tools. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production release practices. - Ability to collaborate through code review and clear written communication in a remote team.
