Role overview A federal services technology organization is hiring a Telecommunications Engineer to manage and process telecom service orders across a large government program. The role is hands-on with vendors, fulfillment tracking, and stakeholder communication, and it sits inside a team supporting defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health clients. An active Secret security clearance is required to be considered.
Responsibilities - Manage and process telecommunications service orders end-to-end within the program. - Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment. - Maintain order records, track status, and update stakeholders throughout the lifecycle. - Resolve order-related issues and apply root-cause thinking to prevent recurrence. - Ensure compliance with client policies, procedures, and applicable federal requirements.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field, or four additional years of equivalent work experience in lieu of the degree. - Eight years of experience managing telecommunications development, operations, contracts, and vendor relationships. - Strong working knowledge of telecom systems including VoIP, PBX, and network infrastructure. - An active Secret security clearance.
Nice to have - Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
Benefits and work setup - Disclosed base pay range for this position across listed US states and the District of Columbia: $81,000 to $162,400 USD, with actual compensation depending on location, role, skill set, and experience. - Reasonable accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities or religious observances throughout the hiring process and on the job.
