Role overview A senior platform engineering role focused on leading ServiceNow solution delivery for US federal government clients. The position blends hands-on architecture and development with team leadership, owning design quality, best-practice adoption, and stakeholder alignment across defense, civilian, and public-sector engagements.
Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions while mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work. - Define and enforce best practices around code quality, security, and technical debt reduction across the team. - Engage directly with clients, product owners, and end users to translate business objectives into technical requirements and roadmaps. - Build custom applications, configure out-of-the-box modules, and deliver third-party integrations. - Perform unit testing, defect resolution, and migration of changes into production environments using an iterative delivery approach. - Contribute to technical design artifacts, effort estimation, backlog refinement, and escalation support for complex workflow issues.
Requirements - 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow implementation experience across enterprise engagements. - Working knowledge of multiple ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, IT Asset Management, HAM, SAM, CMDB, and Virtual Agent. - Demonstrated ability to lead development teams, set technical direction, and uphold delivery standards. - Strong client-facing communication skills, including requirements analysis, risk identification, and stakeholder facilitation. - Proficiency across the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and integration. - Active Top Secret security clearance.
Nice to have - Experience supporting federal or public-sector transformation programs. - Familiarity with Agile delivery, product backlog ownership, and roadmap planning.
