Role overview
Support federal government clients as a junior engineer building out-of-the-box and custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role is part of a delivery team that designs, develops, integrates, and operates ServiceNow applications for defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health missions. It's an entry-level-to-junior engineering position with exposure to the full software development lifecycle and direct client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop ServiceNow applications including configuration, report development, data migration, and custom code across modules. - Perform custom development and integrate third-party systems where needed. - Carry out unit testing, defect resolution, and migration of changes to production. - Assist with technical design and documentation for new features and enhancements. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to build ServiceNow solutions that support mission requirements. - Engage with clients, managers, and end users to analyze project objectives and capability requirements. - Partner with leadership to define challenges, desired outcomes, risks, dependencies, and overall strategy. - Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement, roadmap planning, and prioritization activities. - Help the support team resolve escalated issues involving customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows. - Provide effort estimates for new projects and enhancements, and contribute across all phases of the SDLC. - Adapt quickly to changing requirements and find creative ways to meet client mission goals.
Requirements
- 1+ years of ServiceNow implementation experience. - Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), CMDB/Configuration Management, and Virtual Agent. - U.S. citizenship. - Active Top Secret security clearance. - Must be local to the Washington, DC area.
