Scrum Master/Delivery Lead

Role overview

Guide an Agile team responsible for database operations, maintenance, and modernization in support of a government mission. The Scrum Master/Delivery Lead facilitates the team’s working practices, tracks delivery, addresses obstacles, and serves as a key contact for client coordination.

Responsibilities - Facilitate team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and demonstrations. - Lead a cross-functional team of approximately five to ten people and support effective collaboration. - Track and report delivery metrics, and lead work estimation while keeping focus on sprint goals, quality, and flow. - Help the team follow standards for code development, automated testing, version control, and documentation. - Maintain roadmaps, schedules, backlogs, and release plans in coordination with clients and stakeholders. - Coach the team on Agile practices, continuous improvement, and ways to reduce delivery friction. - Protect the team from disruptive work, remove blockers, and identify and manage delivery risks.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile teams. - Familiarity with common delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. - Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to manage risks and remove obstacles. - An active Secret clearance is required.

Nice to have - Certified Scrum Master credential or equivalent. - Understanding of database operations and modernization, as well as software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
