SAP Solution Architect

Role overview A senior SAP Solution Architect role supporting Defense agency programs. The position is responsible for designing end-to-end SAP solutions that meet operational, logistical, and financial requirements while integrating with broader defense IT environments and complying with strict regulatory standards.

Responsibilities - Design scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions aligned with Defense agency enterprise architecture standards. - Lead development of SAP architecture roadmaps that support Defense business objectives and identify gaps for improvement. - Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and system integrators to translate complex needs into SAP technical specifications. - Guide configuration and customization of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, HR, WM, and FM. - Oversee integration with legacy Defense systems and third-party applications, including data migration and interface design. - Ensure solutions meet Defense cybersecurity and information assurance standards such as RMF and STIGs, and maintain architectural documentation. - Mentor junior SAP consultants and serve as the technical authority across planning, development, and delivery.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred. - 8+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role. - Hands-on experience supporting Defense SAP implementations. - Deep understanding of SAP architecture and modules relevant to defense operations. - Strong knowledge of Defense business processes, procurement systems, and compliance requirements. - Familiarity with Defense cybersecurity frameworks and system accreditation processes.

Nice to have - SAP certifications in relevant modules or architecture. - Prior military experience or direct experience working with federal programs. - Experience with SAP Enhancement Pack upgrades or migrations in a defense context. - Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies on government IT projects.
