SAP Acquire to Retire / Real Property Architect

Role overview

A senior functional architect role leading the greenfield implementation of SAP S/4HANA Acquire to Retire (A2R) and Real Estate processes for a federal environment. The position covers the full real property and asset lifecycle, from capital budgeting and construction through retirement, ensuring compliance with federal financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

- Lead A2R and Real Estate requirement workshops using SAP Activate methodology and Fit-to-Standard principles, minimizing customizations. - Configure SAP Flexible Real Estate Management (REFX) for property portfolio and lease administration, and integrate with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for functional locations, equipment master data, and maintenance work orders. - Ensure asset transactions interface correctly with Funds Management and align with federal mandates such as GSA reporting and FIAR. - Lead migration of legacy real estate, equipment, and fixed asset records into S/4HANA, reconciling historical depreciation, accumulated costs, and active leases with the General Ledger. - Write and execute test scripts for asset acquisitions, real estate contracts, and maintenance processes. - Train users on relevant SAP Fiori apps for property inventory, project monitoring, and capital spend analytics.

Requirements

- 7+ years of SAP experience. - At least one full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation, greenfield preferred. - Experience in Lease Management, CLM, and SFFAS 54. - Configuration experience in SAP REFX and SAP PM, with deep knowledge of FI-AA and PS. - Ability to troubleshoot integration errors, analyze asset journals, and configure standard workflows for disposals, transfers, or lease approvals. - US Citizenship required; no dual citizenship. - Active Secret clearance required.

Nice to have

- Experience with Capital Investment Management and project-to-fixed-asset settlement logic. - Bachelor's degree in a related field.
