Meter Data Management Architect (IEE)

Role overview A federal technology team is hiring a Meter Data Management Architect to lead the design of enterprise-scale meter-data architecture for a large utility-modernization program. The role bridges SAP EDM/IS-U with IEE/MDMS platforms, owning the full data lifecycle from interval collection through complex billing and downstream settlement. It is a senior architect position with direct influence on the operating model, migration strategy, and cross-workstream technical alignment.

Responsibilities - Design end-to-end meter-data architecture spanning IEE/MDMS, SAP EDM/IS-U, interval and profile flows, VEE, and complex billing dependencies - Define data ownership, integration patterns, and profile-processing logic across AMI/AMR head-end systems - Build quality-control frameworks along with migration and cutover approaches that align across multiple workstreams - Produce MDM architecture artifacts, data-flow designs, VEE/profile designs, operating-model documentation, test inputs, and operational runbooks - Apply governance standards for an enterprise utility platform serving federal agency stakeholders

Requirements - 7+ years of SAP experience with demonstrated SAP EDM knowledge - Hands-on background in IEE/MDMS architecture within a utility environment - Working knowledge of interval-data management, AMI/AMR integration, profile billing, and VEE processes - Understanding of complex billing dependencies and platform governance - U.S. citizenship (dual accepted) and eligibility to obtain a government Public Trust clearance

Nice to have - Prior work on federal or regulated utility-modernization initiatives - Experience leading migration or cutover efforts across multi-vendor workstreams
