Role overview

A full stack engineering role on a distributed game studio team building a popular mobile slot machine title inspired by a well-known fantasy television franchise. The position centers on extending the core slot engine, designing new game features, and supporting live operations across client and server systems.

Responsibilities

- Architect and implement gameplay features, UI/UX components, and backend services using Unity and C# on the client and PHP on the server - Dive into the internals of the slot engine to extend systems, support new mechanics, and improve performance - Build internal tools and pipelines that streamline workflows for engineers and content creators - Define and scope tasks and systems, balancing feature work, content delivery, and engineering health - Triage, reproduce, and resolve bugs quickly against a live, player-facing product

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience - One to two years of professional software development experience, or three or more years for candidates transitioning from adjacent fields - Strong working knowledge of Unity and C# for game development - Hands-on experience building server-side features, ideally with PHP - Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and core software engineering principles - Comfort with git-based workflows and collaborative code review - Clear written and verbal communication skills in a team-oriented environment

Nice to have

- Mobile game development experience on shipped titles - Performance profiling and optimization experience - Prior experience developing slot machines or casino-style games
