Role overview This is a senior, customer-facing Technical Account Manager role supporting a subscription experience platform used by digital businesses for paywalls, identity flows, registration journeys, and personalized subscriber experiences. The position combines deep product expertise with web-technology knowledge and commercial awareness, helping strategic customers get more value from their investment while reducing implementation risk. The role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria (or Bari/Naples, Italy), with flexible arrangements, EMEA business hours, and regular overlap with US teams.
Responsibilities - Act as the senior technical advisor for strategic customers, guiding architecture, configuration, identity flows, access rules, paywalls, and integrations. - Lead regular office hours, design reviews, roadmap alignment sessions, and executive-friendly technical readouts. - Review customer designs and implementations to surface scalability, performance, and operational risks early. - Support troubleshooting of complex issues involving APIs, webhooks, browser behavior, and data flows. - Partner with Support, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to escalate issues with proper context and advocate for improvements. - Translate business priorities into phased technical recommendations and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and decision records.
Requirements - 5+ years in Technical Account Management, Solution Consulting, Solution Architecture, or a comparable customer-facing technical role. - Hands-on experience with the Zephr platform, including configuration, integrations, or ongoing technical advisory. - Strong background working with enterprise SaaS customers in digital subscriptions, media, publishing, e-commerce, identity, martech, or customer engagement. - Solid grasp of modern web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and browser-based application behavior. - Familiarity with CMS platforms, CDNs, CDPs, identity providers, React, GraphQL, and tag management tools. - Ability to analyze requirements, communicate trade-offs, and write clear technical recommendations.
Nice to have - Experience with subscription billing, entitlement management, or quote-to-cash processes. - Background in media, publishing, or digital subscription industries.
