About this role

Role overview A Solutions Engineer role partnering with the sales team to engage prospective and existing enterprise customers of a cloud-native hardware design platform. The platform combines a modern CAD environment with AI-powered engineering workflows, helping teams design, iterate, and manufacture hardware products faster. The mission is to translate customer technical requirements into platform solutions, push deals forward by overcoming technical objections, and drive adoption across the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities - Engage with customers to ensure success on specific use cases built on the platform's APIs - Develop deep product knowledge and craft positioning aligned to customer objectives - Build interactive demonstrations and share integration best practices throughout the sales cycle - Collect requirements and advise on applying platform technologies to customer business goals - Translate prospect feedback into product insights for internal teams - Support sales in closing new enterprise deals and guiding proof-of-concept projects focused on ROI-driven results - Serve as the technical expert for deeper commercial production deals after a proof-of-concept concludes

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience - Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing engineering role supporting technical sales to large enterprise customers - Knowledge of CAD software and the broader hardware design ecosystem - General engineering acumen with a practical understanding of APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex - Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage executives and explain complex concepts to varied audiences - Sound technical judgment, including the ability to communicate current capabilities, limitations, and potential roadmap directions without overpromising

Nice to have - Familiarity with security, compliance, and data-handling requirements, including working with ITAR-controlled data under established procedures

Benefits and work setup Salary range of $120,000 to $170,000 USD, plus competitive equity and a full benefits package; compensation may vary by geography. The team operates with both local and remote employees and is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.
