Application Security Engineer (West Coast)

Role overview A remote Application Security Engineer position focused on deploying and integrating application security testing (AST) tools into enterprise software development environments. The role sits within a Professional Services organization and partners with sales, solution architects, engineering, and customer success teams to drive successful onboarding and adoption. It blends hands-on implementation, customer enablement, and trusted-advisor consulting for clients ranging from startups to global enterprises.

Responsibilities - Educate customers on secure development practices and identify opportunities to strengthen their software security operations. - Deliver formal training and ongoing enablement to build customer self-sufficiency across assigned accounts. - Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and design solutions that address quality, security, and compliance challenges. - Manage end-to-end project delivery from initiation through completion, owning milestones and outcomes. - Develop custom integrations to embed AST tooling into customer SDLC and DevOps workflows. - Act as a trusted advisor providing consulting expertise across software testing and security domains.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience deploying both SaaS and on-premises software solutions. - Software development experience in at least two of: C/C++, C#, or Java. - Strong scripting ability in Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar. - Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps tooling. - Background in client consultation, onboarding, and project scoping with requirements gathering. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience; willingness to travel up to 20%.
