Senior Software Development Engineer

Role overview Build and operate the backend services and APIs that make public cloud infrastructure self-service for software teams. The work turns manual provisioning and operational procedures into reliable platform products with clear interfaces, safe defaults, and automation. You will shape the developer experience as well as the design, reliability, and ongoing operation of the systems you deliver.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and own services and APIs for cloud account provisioning, networking, identity and access management, and policy controls. - Convert recurring manual infrastructure work into documented, automated workflows and reusable platform capabilities. - Learn internal engineering teams’ needs and use their feedback and platform usage to inform interfaces and roadmap decisions. - Design for observability, service objectives, and self-healing; participate in on-call support and lead follow-up work that addresses recurring failure patterns. - Work with platform, database, middleware, delivery, and security teams to make cloud capabilities cohesive and safe by default. - Use AI-assisted development and operational tools while maintaining quality and safety.

Requirements - At least six years of professional software engineering experience building and operating backend systems. - Experience designing and delivering APIs or services that other engineering teams use. - Ability to turn operational or infrastructure needs into maintainable software and automation. - Experience supporting production systems, including reliability practices such as observability, service objectives, and incident follow-up. - A developer-focused approach to platform interfaces, documentation, and self-service workflows. - Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and influence technical direction.
