Principal Product Manager, Product Development Platforms

Role overview

Set the direction for platforms and tools that support product planning, delivery, and knowledge sharing. The role owns strategy and execution across an evolving portfolio, helping teams adopt AI-enabled ways of working while deciding where to invest, integrate, migrate, or retire tools. It combines platform product leadership with vendor management, adoption measurement, and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities - Define platform strategy and translate it into a roadmap, priorities, and decisions about core versus temporary tools. - Build recommendations and business cases for developing, purchasing, renewing, migrating, or retiring platforms. - Represent product, engineering, and design needs in efforts to improve the product development lifecycle. - Lead the current platform portfolio and work with engineering and program partners to deliver improvements. - Establish support models, manage vendor relationships and budgets, and influence vendor roadmaps. - Define adoption and value measures, share outcomes with leaders, and create documentation, training, and self-service support.

Requirements - 10+ years of product management experience with technical products such as platforms, internal tools, developer tools, or enterprise software. - Experience owning a platform end to end, including strategy, roadmap, adoption, vendor management, and renewal. - Ability to evaluate platform options and make clear investment and portfolio recommendations. - Experience using AI building tools, prototyping with them, and explaining how they affect product development practices. - Comfortable adapting priorities and workflows as AI tools and capabilities evolve.
