Security Engineer (AppSec)

Role overview Join a remote-first engineering organization as a Security Engineer focused on Application Security (AppSec). The position centers on partnering with cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, and product owners to build secure, high-impact software and scale products globally. It is a full-time opportunity for someone who wants both hands-on security work and influence over engineering practices.

Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product owners to embed security into the software development lifecycle. - Design, build, and deliver security-focused solutions and features across the product portfolio. - Take ownership of features end-to-end and drive technical excellence within the team. - Apply AppSec methodologies and tooling to identify, prevent, and remediate vulnerabilities. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a healthy, collaborative team culture.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a closely related functional role. - Strong expertise in AppSec methodologies and the tools commonly associated with the discipline. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable work. - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, suited to remote collaboration.

Nice to have - Prior experience guiding or mentoring less experienced engineers.
