Responsibilities

- Set the direction for core search APIs and adjacent surfaces such as monitoring, vertical feeds, evaluation tooling, and emerging agent-native retrieval primitives - Work directly with technical leaders at strategic accounts to design integrations, resolve blockers, and turn early deployments into sustained partnerships - Convert field insights into shipped product bets by authoring specifications, prioritizing the roadmap, and driving features from concept through release - Run technical deep-dives, produce the documentation and reference implementations that matter most, and represent the platform in developer-facing venues - Partner with engineering on API design, performance, and developer experience, pushing back when quality falls short - Prototype new API primitives and commit production code into the core stack when direct building is the highest-leverage action

Requirements

- At least five years spanning engineering and product roles, with substantial work on developer-facing or API products, plus current ability and desire to write production code - Deep familiarity with the AI agent and LLM ecosystem, including how agents are constructed, the role of retrieval, and current tooling gaps - Demonstrated track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end without waiting for direction - Strong customer instincts, with skill at reading what is said and unsaid during calls and holding credibility with both engineers and executives - Clear written and verbal communication, able to author specifications, follow-ups, and postmortems with equal precision - Comfort in an early-stage startup setting with shifting priorities and the need to make decisions without full consensus
