Software Quality Engineer

Role overview Help product teams catch risks early and ship dependable digital experiences. You’ll plan and carry out testing across features, integrations, and releases, working with product, design, engineering, and DevOps to assess how software behaves for users in varied conditions.

Responsibilities - Create risk-based test strategies and practical plans for features and releases. - Perform manual, exploratory, regression, integration, compatibility, and API testing. - Maintain test cases, test data, traceability, and evidence of release quality. - Document defects with reproduction steps, impact, supporting evidence, and priority context; follow them through triage and resolution. - Identify useful automation opportunities and maintain reliable automated checks. - Share quality metrics and work with teams early to help prevent defects.

Requirements - At least one year of software testing or quality assurance experience. - Practical exposure to testing such as manual, API, regression, exploratory, automation, or release testing. - Understanding of test design, risk-based testing, defect lifecycles, and release readiness. - Ability to investigate unexpected behavior and distinguish product issues from data or environment problems. - Clear written communication and careful documentation of test steps, evidence, and outcomes. - Working knowledge of HTTP, browser behavior, APIs, databases, and versioned software delivery.

Nice to have - Experience with an automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. - Familiarity with Postman or other REST clients, contract testing, or database validation. - Exposure to accessibility, performance, security, mobile-device testing, or CI/CD test integration.
