Job details
About this role
Role overview An experienced Business Analyst is needed to join a mobile modernization team supporting a customer-facing platform used by travelers to manage bookings, view itineraries, and access trip information. The role goes beyond traditional BA scope, combining requirements leadership with hands-on Agile facilitation, owning ceremonies, estimation, and story point tracking as the operational backbone for day-to-day delivery.
Responsibilities - Partner with business stakeholders to gather high-level requirements and define end-to-end initiative scope. - Translate business needs into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and break complex requirements into well-defined deliverables. - Collaborate with technical teams on solutions involving APIs, system integrations, and data workflows. - Own and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and PI planning. - Support delivery through estimation, velocity tracking, and alignment between business goals, technical feasibility, and timelines. - Validate solutions through UAT, requirement traceability, and stakeholder feedback while maintaining clear documentation and process flows. - Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and scope gaps, and support cross-functional collaboration across time zones.
Requirements - 10+ years as a Business Analyst in technical or product-driven environments, including at least 3 years working with iOS and Android mobile applications. - Demonstrated experience running Agile teams end-to-end, facilitating ceremonies and owning estimation and velocity tracking. - Comfort acting as the de facto Agile lead or Scrum Master alongside BA responsibilities when no dedicated Scrum Master is staffed. - Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data systems, and digital platforms. - Solid grounding in Agile frameworks including Scrum, PI planning, sprints, and estimation practices. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
Nice to have - Experience in the cruise or travel industry.
Benefits and work setup - Cross-functional, multicultural team environment with cross-time-zone collaboration expected.
