About this role
Role overview
A product manager is needed to own products that help employees get accurate guidance and complete common People-related tasks on their own. The work sits at the intersection of employee experience, enterprise systems, data, and applied AI, including agentic products that automate appropriate actions while keeping human judgment in the loop. Success requires understanding the capabilities and limits of AI and ML when applied to business-critical, regulated, and strictly governed problems.
Responsibilities
- Build deep understanding of employees, managers, and People practitioners, then translate the most important needs into a focused product roadmap - Own products end to end, from discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption, measurement, and iteration - Design coherent experiences that unify fragmented data, knowledge, workflows, and systems - Partner with the People organization, engineering, data, security, legal, and others to make sound product and architecture tradeoffs - Define adoption, engagement, and impact metrics, and turn insights into product improvements - Shape agentic products by deciding where they recommend, act, escalate, or defer to accountable human judgment - Use AI-enabled tools across the product development lifecycle and help establish effective AI-assisted practices - Drive adoption and sustainable ownership for products that change established ways of working
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience leading software products for internal or external users - Experience independently navigating ambiguity, identifying the underlying user problem, and turning broad strategies into focused roadmaps - Experience shipping products that connect workflows, data, and multiple systems or teams - Practical understanding of AI and ML product development beyond LLM-based tools, including model capabilities, data requirements, evaluation methods, failure modes, privacy considerations, and tradeoffs between probabilistic, deterministic, and human-led approaches - Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve the quality and speed of product discovery, prototyping, delivery, or evaluation - Demonstrated ability to lead across functions and build alignment among stakeholders with different expertise, incentives, and responsibilities - Experience designing products where user trust, privacy, permissions, or other sensitive requirements are central
Nice to have
- Experience with employee products, HR technology, People operations, enterprise workflow, or manager-facing tools - Experience building governed data products, self-service experiences, or role-aware applications - Experience shipping agentic or AI/ML-powered products for People or another trust-sensitive domain, including appropriate safeguards, escalation paths, and human accountability - Experience leading adoption and organizational change for products that replace established manual processes
