Principal Fullstack Architect (AI & Agentic Systems)

Role overview Lead hands-on engineering for an AI-native underwriting platform as it grows from an initial product into a production-ready system. The role combines Python backend development, system architecture, and technical leadership for AI-assisted engineering, with close collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend services and contribute to the platform’s architecture and technical direction. - Develop secure, scalable, observable software and help prepare the product for enterprise use. - Work with frontend engineers on integrations with React and TypeScript applications. - Set engineering standards, improve development workflows, and build tools that support team productivity. - Use AI coding assistants in day-to-day development and guide effective adoption across the team. - Mentor colleagues through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements - Extensive commercial experience building production software with Python. - Strong understanding of TypeScript, React, software design, and distributed systems. - Experience delivering reliable applications through the full software development lifecycle. - Knowledge of application security, observability, monitoring, and operational practices. - Ownership of technical initiatives, with the ability to work independently amid changing requirements. - Practical use of AI-powered development assistants and strong communication skills. - Ability to work from within the European Union and hold a valid work permit.

Nice to have - Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, agentic workflows, or other AI-enabled applications. - Familiarity with AI coding agents and structured GenAI workflows embedded in software development. - Background in insurance technology, internal engineering platforms, or developer productivity tools. - Experience setting technical direction or engineering standards while remaining hands-on.
