Google Cloud & Knowledge Catalog Engineer

Role overview Build and improve a cloud-based knowledge catalog that supports metadata management, data governance, and data products. The role covers platform configuration, integrations, lineage, access controls, automation, and preparation for reliable operational handover.

Responsibilities - Configure and enhance the catalog platform, including automated metadata collection, synchronization, enrichment, and lifecycle management. - Design data lineage and impact analysis capabilities. - Integrate the platform with enterprise access management and authorization systems. - Define infrastructure-as-code standards and deployment automation. - Develop technical solutions for governance processes and data products, and carry out technical analysis and proofs of concept. - Establish monitoring and operational controls, document the solution, and support readiness, handover, and knowledge transfer. - Collaborate with business analysts, governance groups, and platform stakeholders.

Requirements - Experience designing and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including configuration and system integration. - Background in enterprise data or metadata management solutions and understanding of governance concepts. - Experience implementing APIs and integrations, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation. - Ability to conduct technical analysis and proofs of concept and prepare technical documentation. - Understanding of access management and authorization. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams. - Must work from within the European Union and hold a valid work permit.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with Google Knowledge Catalog or data lineage solutions. - Familiarity with cloud monitoring, observability, CI/CD, or DevOps practices. - Experience in regulated industries, operational handover, or technical training and knowledge transfer.
