Data Engineer

Role overview Build dependable data foundations that help product and business teams make informed decisions. The work spans production pipelines, data modeling, integrations, and the systems used to serve and monitor data.

Responsibilities - Design and maintain pipelines for analytics and product use cases, integrating application, API, and operational data sources. - Create data models with clear meaning and dependable behavior. - Improve data quality checks, monitoring, and lineage visibility. - Work with backend, product, and analytics colleagues; support reporting and operational dashboards as needed. - Tune pipeline performance and cost, document datasets and transformations, and clarify ownership. - Apply appropriate access controls to sensitive information and help reduce reliance on difficult-to-maintain spreadsheets.

Requirements - Strong SQL skills and experience operating production data pipelines. - Python or equivalent programming experience for data processing. - Understanding of data modeling and common data quality challenges. - Experience with cloud data services or data warehouses. - Ability to debug production issues and work effectively with non-data teams. - Careful handling of privacy and access control.

Nice to have Experience with dbt, Airflow or Prefect, BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, or ELT patterns.
