Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview Be the first dedicated forward deployed engineer, helping customers assess and adopt a Postgres platform for isolated database branches and production-like development workflows. The role spans technical discovery, proof-of-value work, customer migrations, and hands-on engineering, while establishing the practices and reusable assets that future customer-facing engineers can build on.

Responsibilities - Lead technical discovery with developer, platform, and AI-focused teams to understand their goals and constraints. - Design and deliver proof-of-value engagements using customer data and real-world requirements. - Guide database migrations, using existing open-source tools and developing additional tooling when needed. - Build demonstrations, reference architectures, migration scripts, and integration patterns for branching, replication, and lifecycle management. - Partner with go-to-market colleagues through the deal cycle, address technical concerns, and build trust with customer engineers. - Work alongside customers on code and production issues, and define repeatable technical engagement practices.
