Systems Engineer

Role overview Serve as the technical backbone of an internal IT organization, designing the systems, automations, and infrastructure that scale internal operations at a fast-growing company. This is not a help desk role. Instead, you will architect endpoint management workflows, write scripts, ship automation, and build the foundation that keeps the company running smoothly. A managed service partner handles tier 1 support, so this role focuses on architecting the systems they execute against, automating everything upstream, and serving as the escalation point for complex tier 2 and tier 3 issues.

Responsibilities - Own identity, device management, SaaS lifecycle, and the automation layer that ties them together - Architect endpoint management workflows, including zero-touch provisioning and policy enforcement - Write scripts in Python and Bash to automate what others do manually - Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code across cloud, identity, and SaaS configuration - Design Okta Workflows, integrations, and policies - Serve as the escalation point for complex tier 2 and tier 3 issues

Requirements - Deep Okta expertise spanning user administration, Workflows, integrations, and policy design - Proficiency writing automation scripts in Python and Bash - Experience using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code, including identity and SaaS configuration - Deep understanding of SSO protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and SCIM - Comfort managing a macOS fleet end-to-end, including zero-touch provisioning, policy enforcement, and MDM - Systems-thinking mindset that connects identity, devices, SaaS tools, and cloud infrastructure

Nice to have - Interest in applying AI as a tool for IT automation and operations - Experience architecting systems that a managed service partner executes against - Background in endpoint security and device compliance frameworks
