Role overview
A senior Forward Deployment Engineer position embedded directly with financial services clients to deploy, customize, and optimize software products inside their unique environments. This is a high-ownership builder role rather than a support or implementation seat, focused on solving real customer problems at the intersection of AI tooling and lending technology. The engineer partners cross-functionally so that deployed systems remain technically sound, scalable, and tightly aligned with each client's business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end deployments and integrations, independently running complex rollouts at scale - Customize and configure solutions to match each client's infrastructure, business objectives, and technical constraints - Troubleshoot and stabilize production environments while acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers and stakeholders - Convert customer interactions into structured feedback that shapes product and engineering roadmaps - Improve deployment processes for repeatability, scalability, and overall client satisfaction - Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and partner teams to keep playbooks current and effective
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack TypeScript skills across Node.js backends and React frontends - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - Production-level comfort with deployment, integration patterns, and live-system troubleshooting - Willingness to travel up to 50% to client sites, with flexibility based on personal preference - Clear communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical audiences - A bias for action, a client-first mindset, and native use of AI tools inside the engineering workflow

- Prior experience in a forward-deployed, customer-facing engineering capacity - Background building or deploying lending, fintech, or broader financial services products
