About this role
Role overview Take AI agents from "sold" to "live and performing" at individual credit union customers, owning the technical side of each implementation end to end. The work spans discovery, integration into core banking and loan systems, authoring and tuning agent behavior, running live tests with customer staff, and supporting the first weeks of production. This is a senior engineering position with significant travel to Midwest and Southeast US sites on short notice.
Responsibilities - Ship production code into a live agent through the team's review process and explain how a member interaction flows through the agents platform end to end. - Own one credit union implementation end to end, including core and loan origination system integration, agent configuration, testing, go-live, and early production support. - Run the eval and tuning loop for the assigned agent, including golden transcripts, rubric judges, and regression suites, and change behavior independently when warranted. - Complete on-site visits, translate field learnings into product decisions, and contribute reusable capabilities back to the shared platform so the next implementation does not have to rebuild them. - Design and build integrations to customer core and loan systems, including the prompts, tool contracts, and orchestration that define an agent. - Document implementation playbooks, defaults, and feedback that flows back into the platform and product roadmap.
Requirements - US-based with the ability to be on site at a credit union in the Midwest or Southeast within one to two days. - Senior engineering experience writing production code weekly in a monorepo environment. - Hands-on experience with TypeScript, NestJS, agent SDKs, MCP, Temporal, and promptfoo, or equivalent agent and orchestration tooling. - Track record taking an AI-powered feature or agent into production and being able to discuss the technical implementation in depth. - Strong written, async-first communication style with the ability to make judgment calls directly in front of customers. - Comfort working in ambiguity and balancing experimentation with production-quality engineering standards.
Nice to have - Background integrating with core banking platforms, loan origination systems, or other enterprise financial systems. - Experience designing or operating LLM evaluation harnesses, golden transcript suites, or rubric-based judges. - Prior work in startup-style teams embedded inside larger organizations.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first with on-site travel tied to specific milestones such as kickoff, live testing, and go-live. - Twice-yearly company off-sites for team bonding and planning. - Flexible paid time off, stock options, and a home office setup budget. - Dedicated budget for work-related travel and co-working access. - Comprehensive health and dental insurance coverage.
