About this role
Role overview
Join a remote-first technology team as a Quality Assurance Specialist focused on payment and financial platform products. The role sits at the intersection of support and engineering, triaging customer-reported issues end-to-end and feeding findings back into product quality. It suits someone who enjoys investigative work, cross-functional collaboration, and owning cases from first report to validated fix.
Responsibilities
- Investigate customer-reported bugs and product issues from initial ticket through final resolution, including reproduction, root-cause analysis, and context gathering. - Analyze logs, API requests and responses, database records, historical tickets, documentation, and prior incidents to understand actual product behavior. - Take ownership of support cases, proactively following up with engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders until a clear answer or solution is in place. - Distinguish real defects from configuration issues, integration problems, data-related cases, and expected platform behavior. - Validate fixes with targeted regression testing and write clear, detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, evidence, and impact descriptions. - Identify recurring problems and contribute to improvements in QA, support, and incident investigation processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manual and semi-automated testing of web-based applications. - 2+ years of hands-on API testing experience, including authentication flows, error handling, and payload validation. - Proven experience testing payment systems, transactional flows, and basic third-party integrations. - Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend consistency checks. - Familiarity with Postman, Chrome DevTools, Swagger, and a test management system such as TestRail or Xray. - Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile (Scrum or Kanban) processes, with a "pixel-perfect" eye for visual and behavioral UI issues.
Nice to have
- Experience with responsive design testing, browser dev tools, network analysis, and cross-platform validation. - Understanding of frontend-backend architecture, including REST APIs, session handling, and data flows.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote position with flexible hours, expected to align with the Central European Time (CET) zone. - Competitive package commensurate with experience, plus 19 business days of flexible paid time off. - Values-driven, supportive team culture with a matrix structure designed to streamline communication. - Opportunities to participate in and contribute to industry conferences and community events.
