Role overview
The Lead Business Analyst directs a team of analysts supporting product development for a fintech company that builds software platforms used by financial services and payment providers. The role blends people leadership with hands-on business analysis, partnering with executives and product teams to shape strategy, roadmaps, and delivery across web and mobile products. It is a fully remote position aligned to Central European Time hours.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with senior business stakeholders, translating organisational goals into actionable product direction. - Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap definition, adjusting plans as priorities or dependencies shift. - Lead, mentor, and coach a team of roughly 10–12 business analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. - Plan and allocate business analysis capacity across projects in coordination with product and delivery leads. - Track delivery progress against the roadmap and report status to leadership, flagging risks early. - Elicit business and user needs, capture high-level requirements, and prioritise them alongside the product team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. - At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager on B2B or B2C products, with a portfolio covering both desktop and mobile. - Solid grasp of business analysis practices, project management principles, and Agile methodologies. - Working knowledge of SQL, plus a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Familiarity with API documentation and integration patterns. - Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Miro, UML or similar diagramming tools, and visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau. - Understanding of usability principles and UI/UX design, including hands-on use of Figma for mockups and sketches. - Upper-intermediate or higher English communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
