Remote job
Senior Analyst, Enterprise Analytics
Job details
About this role
Role overview
This senior analytics role leads the design of enterprise-wide data insights that shape strategic decisions across the organization. The position acts as a thought partner to senior leadership, owning complex analytical initiatives and building reusable data assets that scale beyond any single team. It combines deep technical execution with cross-functional influence, setting standards for how analytics work is built, governed, and reused.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to frame ambiguous business problems, shape analytical approaches, and recognize when building a solution is not the best answer - Reconcile conflicting metric definitions across departments and establish shared semantic models that leadership can rely on - Combine data from disparate systems such as CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, and ad hoc files into durable, governed outputs rather than one-off answers - Architect and maintain enterprise dashboards where long-term accuracy and maintainability matter as much as the initial insight - Document analytical reasoning and metric logic thoroughly enough that work can be picked up and extended by others a year later - Set organizational standards for analytics quality and mentor analysts and self-service users to build sound data products
Requirements
- Four or more years in analytics, analytics engineering, or data-focused roles with end-to-end accountability for deliverables, not just ticket execution - Advanced fluency with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, including complex query work and performance tuning, ideally on Azure or AWS - Strong programming ability in Python for manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data, beyond point-and-click tools - Practical experience designing and maintaining a semantic model or metric layer serving multiple audiences with conflicting needs, including dimensional modeling concepts like star schemas and slowly changing dimensions - Familiarity with software engineering practices applied to analytics, including version control, code review, and modular, well-documented work - Experience reconciling messy, overlapping systems of record and building validation checks after encountering data quality failures
Nice to have
- A track record of turning vague executive requests into scoped, well-communicated analytical projects that land with senior stakeholders
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position
