DevRel Lead (Developer Relations)

Role overview A senior Developer Relations role focused on accelerating adoption of an AI safety platform among engineers and researchers. The position owns the full technical narrative—from open-source launches and educational content to community events and ecosystem partnerships—with the goal of making the platform a go-to layer for AI safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

- Own developer relations strategy end-to-end, shaping how engineers and AI researchers discover, evaluate, and integrate the platform - Lead technical launches for open-source releases and developer tooling, owning narrative, demos, and day-of execution - Produce and ship technical content: blog posts, tutorials, walkthroughs, demos, and social threads - Plan and run hackathons, meetups, and technical events, with a primary focus on San Francisco and New York - Build and nurture a developer community around open-source projects and the broader platform - Establish technical partnerships and collaborations with AI labs, developer tooling companies, and research groups - Provide technical input on promotional and product videos alongside design and creative collaborators - Track adoption signals (signups, repository engagement, content performance, event turnout, hiring funnel) and double down on what moves the needle

Requirements

- Strong technical background as a software engineer, ML engineer, or researcher - Experience at a technical product company, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, databases, or AI - Demonstrated history of running hackathons, meetups, or technical events with measurable outcomes - An engaged following among engineers or AI researchers on platforms such as X, LinkedIn, or GitHub - Deep familiarity with the AI tooling landscape, including coding agents, evaluation frameworks, and open-source models - Ability to translate complex technical topics into compelling content for developers without oversimplifying - Self-directed operator who takes ownership and ships without waiting for direction - Based in the US or able to work US hours; San Francisco or New York preferred, with flexibility for exceptional candidates elsewhere - Fluent in English
