Partnership Support Engineer

Role overview A remote engineering role sitting at the intersection of engineering, partnerships, and platform operations for a revenue management platform serving short and mid-length rental operators. The focus is keeping external integrations, APIs, and embedded experiences reliable, scalable, and easy to operate, while building processes and internal tooling that raise the floor across the partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities - Investigate and debug complex cross-system behavior across APIs, webhooks, queues, and data pipelines. - Triage integration and partnership issues, resolving some directly and routing others to the appropriate internal teams. - Build process flows and internal tooling that empower non-engineers to investigate common partner issues themselves. - Serve as the primary technical liaison for select strategic partners, including during production incidents and degraded service. - Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for partner-facing systems. - Support launches of new integrations, embedded deployments, and platform features, and document common failure modes. - Identify systemic reliability risks and advocate for engineering improvements across the partner ecosystem.

Requirements - 3–5 years of experience in a QA engineering or software engineering role. - Strong debugging skills across APIs, integrations, and web applications. - Programming experience, ideally in Ruby on Rails, to automate tasks and build internal tools. - Experience with SQL or ORMs (ideally Active Record) to interact with data. - Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and SLAs. - Comfort communicating with external technical stakeholders and navigating ambiguity across systems you do not control.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Datadog for analyzing metrics and incident communication. - Experience supporting B2B SaaS integrations or developer platforms. - Experience handling incidents that involve external stakeholders and reasoning about distributed-system failure modes.
