About this role
Role overview Lead solution design and commercial planning for complex enterprise data and API opportunities across North America. You will work between senior business buyers and technical integration teams, shaping deals that bring an organization's intelligence data into client platforms while protecting licensing, attribution, and existing subscription value. The role is consultative and commercial; it does not involve writing code.
Responsibilities - Lead solution and commercial design for major enterprise opportunities, guiding deals toward multi-year agreements. - Run discovery with senior buyers across business, design, data, and technology functions. - Identify where a data API can support clients’ data and AI plans, and explain its capabilities and boundaries clearly. - Structure new use cases, buyer relationships, and budgets while protecting existing subscription revenue. - Incorporate intellectual property protections, attribution, and licensing terms into proposed solutions. - Design and deliver paid pilot engagements that provide a practical first step for clients. - Coach sales colleagues on qualification and deal design, create sales materials, and relay customer insights to product teams.
Requirements - At least six years in enterprise pre-sales, solutions consulting, or solutions engineering for data, content, API, or SaaS products. - A record of leading solution design for multi-year enterprise deals valued at $500,000 or more, including new customers. - Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to distinguish genuine expansion from budget reallocation. - Confidence with C-suite and senior vice president audiences and the ability to lead a deal team. - Experience negotiating or shaping IP, attribution, and licensing terms for content, data, or API offerings. - Clear writing skills for both executive proposals and technical solution outlines.
Nice to have - Knowledge of fashion, beauty, retail, consumer goods, interiors, trend research, or consumer data. - Familiarity with enterprise AI purchasing, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge platforms, or personalization systems. - MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework; Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within the United States, with Chicago preferred; some client-site travel is expected. - The role reports to North American commercial leadership and works with global sales, product, and engineering teams.
