QA Engineer

Role overview Own quality across a web product and its desktop and mobile applications in an environment with frequent releases and substantial AI-assisted development. The work combines hands-on exploratory testing, browser-based automation, and clear communication of defects so teams can resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities - Check new features before release and report defects clearly. - Create end-to-end automated tests in real browsers to catch regressions. - Exercise complex workflows, including multi-person chat and document collaboration, calls, notifications, and payments. - Check behaviour across Chrome, Safari, desktop, and mobile environments. - Use AI agents to help write and run tests, and guide them toward effective testing practices. - Turn customer bug reports into actionable tasks for engineers or AI coding agents.

Requirements - QA experience on a web product with frequent releases, including writing automated tests. - Ability to read code and investigate likely causes of defects. - Attention to small usability and functional issues, from visual glitches to unresponsive controls. - Skill in writing bug reports that are clear enough to act on without follow-up. - Interest in applying AI to testing workflows.

Nice to have - Experience with Playwright or Vitest. - Testing experience with real-time or collaborative software. - Experience testing on iOS and Android, and familiarity with Safari-specific behaviour.
