Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role overview A senior QA Automation Engineer is needed to help build a brand-new test automation practice from the ground up for an enterprise client. The position centers on a greenfield Playwright-based framework that will be rolled out across the client's QA organization, with the target of moving automated coverage from near-zero to roughly 60–70%. Automated tests are expected to land within the same two-week sprint as the feature code they cover.

Responsibilities - Co-build the automation framework alongside the Lead Architect and roll it out across existing codebases. - Apply the framework retroactively to bring automated coverage toward the 60–70% target. - Mentor and support other QA engineers as they adopt the new framework. - Deliver automated tests inside the same sprint as the corresponding feature work. - Contribute to production reliability and monitoring practices for deployed systems. - Identify and implement improvements to computational performance and operational cost.

Requirements - Engineering background transitioning into QA automation. - 5+ years of test automation or software engineering experience. - Hands-on experience with Playwright. - Comfort working across multiple stacks and surfaces, including web and ideally Salesforce. - Strong spoken and written English communication skills. - Self-directed, proactive style with comfort flagging blockers and working asynchronously in a fast-moving greenfield environment. - Experience with system integrations and orchestration.

Nice to have - Exposure to open-source model deployment (e.g., Llama 3, Mistral) and fine-tuning techniques. - Familiarity with managed cloud AI services such as AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure AI.
