About this role
Role overview This is a remote, US-only, permanent full-time role producing video for an award-winning interview podcast that features prominent political, tech, and cultural figures. The producer manages technical workflows for full episodes and social clips, designs visual elements, and shapes publishing strategy across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Responsibilities - Edit and produce longform video episodes for YouTube in remote, in-studio, and hybrid formats - Create platform-native shortform content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts - Design motion graphics, captions, lower-thirds, and other visual elements that fit each show's tone - Manage and mentor freelance editors and designers, giving creative direction and feedback - Lead the full editing workflow in Descript, including multi-track and multi-camera assembly - Record and remotely direct host intros with consistent framing, lighting, and delivery - Prepare thumbnails, captions, and on-screen text optimized for YouTube - Partner with editorial, social, and audience development teams to meet performance goals
Requirements - 6 to 8+ years of digital video production experience with editorial or interview-driven content - Strong editing expertise in Adobe Premiere - Motion design capability in After Effects or similar tools - Experience managing freelancers or vendors with clear creative direction - Excellent editorial instincts and news judgment - Collaborative working style that integrates well with existing teams - Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok, and Reels ecosystems and what drives performance
Nice to have - Audio production experience using Descript and Pro Tools for advanced cleanup - Script writing and editing in collaboration with hosts and show teams
