Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build and maintain the data foundations that support trustworthy analytics and AI-assisted data access. This full-stack data engineering role covers product event tracking, ingestion into a cloud warehouse, transformation and modeling, and the semantic definitions and documentation that help both people and AI tools interpret metrics consistently.
Responsibilities
- Design event tracking plans with product teams and maintain consistency between real-time analytics and warehouse reporting. - Build and monitor ingestion pipelines that bring product, payment, marketing, and third-party data into Snowflake. - Develop documented dbt models that transform raw inputs into reliable datasets for analysis. - Define metrics, semantic models, and metadata so users and AI tools can find and interpret data accurately. - Own data quality checks and documentation, and help evolve reporting beyond its current BI setup. - Orchestrate workflows with Airflow, including alerting and clear recovery procedures.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data or analytics engineering and advanced SQL. - Hands-on dbt and cloud data warehouse experience; Snowflake is preferred. - Experience planning event tracking with tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Segment. - Familiarity with ELT and integration tools such as Weld, Stitch, dltHub, or Fivetran. - Experience with Airflow or a comparable workflow orchestration tool. - Knowledge of dimensional modeling, incremental models, and slowly changing dimensions, plus the ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with semantic layers, rich metadata, or connecting language models to warehouse data through approaches such as MCP or text-to-SQL. - Python pipeline development, Google Cloud Platform, BI migrations, or data quality and observability tools.
Benefits and work setup
- Flexible hours and a choice of remote work, an office in Valencia, or coworking in Barcelona. Applicants are generally expected to work within two hours of Central European time. - 23 vacation days, an additional week off in August, and a day off on your birthday. - Private health insurance, a remote-work stipend, and a flexible benefits plan for employees based in Spain. - Referral rewards and additional time-off support for difficult personal circumstances.
