Remote job
Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Layout Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Turn reviewed circuit schematics into reliable, verified physical layouts for analog and mixed-signal power-electronics ASICs. You will own defined layout blocks, working with circuit, integration and release engineers to make placement and routing decisions that preserve circuit behavior and support a clean handoff.
Responsibilities - Plan and implement block layouts from schematics, process design rules and electrical requirements. - Translate matching, symmetry, isolation, current-density and sensitive-node needs into physical design choices. - Work with the analog lead on assigned blocks, which may include references, comparators, amplifiers, converters and sensing circuits. - Apply suitable matching structures, guard rings, well isolation and shielding. - Review extracted parasitics with circuit designers and revise layouts where they affect performance. - Run and debug design-rule checks, layout-versus-schematic checks and parasitic extraction; document proposed verification exceptions for review.
Requirements - Experience delivering analog or mixed-signal ASIC layouts through tapeout. - Ability to reason about how placement, routing, matching and parasitics influence circuit behavior. - Experience with physical verification workflows, including DRC, LVS and PEX. - Ability to collaborate with circuit designers on layout tradeoffs and verification findings.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within the United States. Paid contract work is available, with part-time or full-time commitment considered; full-time employment is also an option. - Full-time employment lists an annual base salary range of $160,000–$220,000 USD. Contract compensation is agreed separately.
