Role overview
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll guide prospective customers through the technical evaluation of communications products, helping them choose solutions that address their business needs. You’ll work alongside sales colleagues, lead technical discovery, and turn customer challenges into architectures and demonstrations that build confidence with both technical and business audiences.
Responsibilities - Partner with sales colleagues to qualify opportunities and deliver product demonstrations, proofs of concept, RFP responses, design documents, technical presentations, and enablement sessions. - Discover customers’ technical needs and recommend suitable solutions, including guidance on using APIs and applying best practices. - Design and present interactive demonstrations that show how product capabilities can solve customer problems. - Build trusted relationships with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, addressing concerns and explaining complex topics clearly. - Identify and resolve customer and internal challenges, and share reusable demonstrations, presentations, and knowledge with the solutions engineering community.
Requirements - At least five years in technical presales, or at least three years supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience. - Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical subjects to audiences with different levels of expertise. - Ability to understand communications needs and guide customers toward a technical solution. - Software development experience or working knowledge of backend languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP; web development; and REST APIs. - A degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have - Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and cloud application architecture. - Experience in telecom, SIP, contact centers, security, or sales methodologies.
