About this role
Role overview Lead the design of production ontologies and knowledge graphs for a large healthcare operations program. You’ll translate executive decisions and operational measures into semantic models, working with domain experts and senior stakeholders from discovery through delivery.
Responsibilities - Lead ontology and semantic design for operational decision-making and outcome measurement. - Run workshops with healthcare domain experts to clarify business questions, metrics, and modeling needs. - Build and explain graph models using property-graph or RDF technologies, including when a graph is appropriate. - Present prior delivery experience and design choices to senior stakeholders, including lessons from what did not work. - Help connect models to decision processes such as root-cause analysis, recommendations, and outcome tracking.
Requirements - Proven experience designing and delivering production ontologies that informed real decisions. - Hands-on graph modeling experience with a property-graph or RDF database. - Healthcare operations knowledge, such as workforce, scheduling, or clinical operations. - Business-first modeling skills, including translating executive questions and metrics into technical designs. - Confidence presenting to and responding to challenges from C-level stakeholders. - Availability to start immediately; US location and authorization to work in the US are required.
Nice to have - Experience with an enterprise ontology platform, ontology governance, or rules engines. - Decision-intelligence modeling, including KPI trees, recommendations, and comparing predicted with actual outcomes. - Experience grounding AI assistants or agents in an ontology or knowledge graph, or working with modern cloud data platforms.
Benefits and work setup Contract engagement, beginning part-time for the first few weeks and expected to transition to full-time on a multi-year program. Occasional US travel is expected.
