Role overview
This early-career technical support role helps investigate and resolve complex issues affecting enterprise software users. The work combines customer communication, application troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with experienced technical colleagues across pre- and post-implementation environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze reported technical problems, identify likely causes, and help move issues toward resolution with appropriate guidance. - Troubleshoot data-driven applications, relational databases, XML files, APIs, web services, and enterprise technology environments. - Act as a customer-facing technical resource during implementation activities and ongoing support interactions. - Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal teams while communicating technical findings clearly. - Record investigations, solutions, best practices, and lessons learned in shared documentation and knowledge bases. - Participate in team initiatives, training, and an on-call rotation when required by business needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in management information systems, computer information technology, computer science, information systems, data analytics, or a related technical field. - Practical experience from an internship, co-op, graduate assistantship, capstone, research project, or up to two years of early professional work. - Academic or hands-on exposure to technologies such as SQL, relational databases, Java, XML, APIs, web services, ERP platforms, cloud environments, or enterprise application support. - Foundational knowledge of Linux or Unix, scripting, HTTP, networking, debugging, or application troubleshooting. - Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies, investigate issues methodically, document conclusions, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong analytical, organizational, collaborative, customer-service, and problem-solving skills, together with curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to grow.
Nice to have
- Exposure to ERP or enterprise platforms, including SAP or Oracle environments, through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience. - Familiarity with SOAP, REST, WSDLs, integration frameworks, data governance, data security, privacy, virtual environments, cloud infrastructure, file transfers, or enterprise networking. - Experience with data-intensive applications, analytics, high-volume transaction systems, or SaaS platforms. - Previous work with customers, stakeholders, or project teams in a technical, analytical, consulting, or support capacity.
