About this role
Role overview Develop the process models that make enterprise work precise enough to verify. You will reconstruct how work moves across objects and systems, then turn observed processes, policies, and event data into reusable conditions that can feed a contract compiler and deterministic verification.
Responsibilities - Model work using object-centric process concepts, including object lifecycles, state transitions, and temporal dependencies. - Distill processes and policies into reusable primitives, invariants, and conformance conditions. - Reconstruct real processes from SAP-centered and other heterogeneous ERP environments. - Preserve evidence provenance while interpreting process data across systems that do not share a database. - Connect process models and event data to contract compilation and deterministic verification. - Develop event-data approaches that can suggest candidate work contracts and validate them through verification.
Requirements - Strong background in process mining or business process management research. - Experience with process discovery, conformance checking, and process modeling. - Strong programming skills and the ability to turn research ideas into working systems. - Genuine interest in formal methods and verifiable computation.
Nice to have - Object-centric process mining, especially OCEL 2.0, or object-centric Petri nets. - Experience with PM4Py, ProM, SAP process data, Celonis, or SAP Signavio. - Familiarity with temporal logic. - A PhD is welcome, but not required.
Benefits and work setup - Founding engineering role, full-time and remote across Europe. - Initial six-month outcomes include compile-ready object-centric models, reconstructed processes with provenance intact, and event data that suggests contracts which run through verification.
