Senior Software Engineer

Role overview Lead the design and evolution of software for real-time identity verification. The role combines architectural ownership with hands-on development of reliable APIs and event-driven services, working across engineering, machine learning, product, and specialist teams to turn complex verification needs into dependable customer-facing capabilities.

Responsibilities - Own architecture decisions for a strategically important product area, with attention to scale, security, and long-term maintainability. - Guide major platform work, including real-time matching, resilient event-driven services, and dependable delivery and observability foundations. - Build and maintain APIs and services used by internal teams and external customers. - Set engineering standards, mentor colleagues, and explain technical decisions to technical and nontechnical partners. - Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product teams, and other stakeholders to align on solutions and delivery. - Balance technical quality with product and customer needs while supporting reliable, high-throughput production systems.

Requirements - More than five years building and operating large-scale applications; Python experience is preferred. - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, modular design, and SOLID principles, with a record of architectural ownership. - Experience designing scalable APIs and working with messaging or queue-based systems. - Practical experience with CI/CD, monitoring, production reliability, and multiple testing approaches. - Working knowledge of relational databases and structured logging. - Strong communication and influencing skills, including experience mentoring engineers and aligning nontechnical stakeholders. - Self-directed approach to balancing engineering choices with product outcomes.

Nice to have - Experience with mobile SDKs, web development with React, or both. - Background in B2B or SaaS products.
