Product Designer

Role overview

A product design role that treats design as a systems discipline focused on making products work better, with aesthetics as a natural consequence. The position owns design end to end across client engagements, from initial discovery through final handoff.

Responsibilities

- Lead design on client engagements from discovery through production - Build and maintain design systems that engineers can actually consume - Work directly with clients rather than through a project manager layer - Push back on requirements when the underlying design problem is being solved incorrectly - Own motion and interaction design, not only static compositions

Requirements

- Deep Figma expertise supported by a strong portfolio of shipped product work - Solid understanding of frontend constraints from working closely with engineers - Strong opinions about typography, spacing, and the details others tend to overlook - Comfort navigating ambiguity and scoping design work independently

Nice to have

- A personal standard that resists design being treated as decoration
