Remote job
Senior C# Developer: Explorers/Identity Resilience
Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior backend role on a data and identity resilience team, building two related products: granular recovery for SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exchange and SharePoint; and Active Directory forest recovery that rebuilds an entire AD environment onto clean machines after a domain-wide outage or ransomware attack. Both products share the same shape: a server orchestrating a remote agent over a versioned contract, running long operations that have to survive failure at any step.
Responsibilities - Design and implement recovery flows end to end, including REST and gRPC contracts, server-side orchestration and the agent that runs on the target machine. - Build PowerShell cmdlets as a first-class product surface, with parameter validation and a coherent object model. - Design pre-flight validation that catches a bad restore before it starts, across REST, server and agent layers. - Work close to what is being recovered: database internals, or Active Directory concepts such as domain controller promotion, SYSVOL, NTDS, DNS, Kerberos and replication. - Manage long-running distributed sessions, including agent deployment, keep-alive, cleanup on failure, timeout and cancellation. - Own an integration test suite and keep it green. - Refactor a long-lived codebase as part of day-to-day work.
Requirements - Five or more years of commercial C# product development with deep knowledge of .NET, data structures and algorithms. - Experience designing service APIs such as REST or gRPC where consumers are external and backward compatibility matters. - Strong async and multithreading skills, including cancellation, session lifecycle and hours-long operations. - Depth in at least one of Windows Server and Active Directory administration or internals, or database recovery mechanics for SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL. - Comfort navigating a large existing codebase and refactoring safely. - English for daily work in an international team.
Nice to have - Familiarity with multithreaded and async .NET patterns, Windows Server and Active Directory, Linux, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, VMware, Hyper-V, Git, TFS, Visual Studio and Rider.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within Poland only; applicants based permanently outside Poland cannot be considered. - 26 paid days off plus four additional wellness days and 24 paid volunteer hours per year. - Paid parental, maternity and paternity leave. - Fully covered family medical, dental, rehab and vaccinations, plus life, critical illness and disability insurance. - Employer pension contribution and a monthly meal allowance of 450 PLN. - Fully covered sports card with national access. - Up to 12 free therapy sessions per year and legal and financial advice. - Learning budget including LinkedIn Learning and O'Reilly, mentoring and an annual learning day. - Total target compensation range 319,100 to 592,600 PLN, including base and performance bonus.
