Role overview A mid-level customer success engineering role focused on long-term technical ownership of enterprise accounts using a data resilience and backup platform. The position blends hands-on technical consulting with strategic account growth, leading onboarding, adoption, and optimization across a portfolio of large customers. Fluency in both English and German is required, and the role is based in Poland.
Responsibilities - Configure customer accounts, customize backup policies and storage, and facilitate onboarding across admin portals and support channels. - Identify migration opportunities, analyze usage and environment data, and align product adoption with business outcomes through success planning sessions. - Conduct technical assessments, build protection plans, and recommend platform architectures and software products. - Run recovery simulations, apply a Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to track resilience posture, and deliver quarterly resilience reports. - Monitor signals for churn risk, define mitigation plans, and partner on renewal strategy with actionable technical insights. - Build business cases, define total cost of ownership, and articulate value propositions for expansion, including checkpoint reviews with stakeholders. - Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders with clear risk, status, and opportunity updates, and support executive roadmap discussions. - Operate within a long-term account assignment model, typically covering 5 to 50 enterprise and commercial named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
Requirements - 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, such as Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Account Management. - Advanced or fluent English and German. - Hands-on expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting and automation, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery and resilience best practices. - Experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations; familiarity with leading data resilience platforms is a plus. - VMCE certification required (can be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe). - Preferred industry certifications include AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert. - Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value. - Strong executive stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
